This week, as part of our eleven by eleven 'environmental' focus the children in Year 3 have learnt about the importance of recycling paper.
Throughout the day, the children took part in workshops, led by Hannah, a Devon Education Officer from Resource futures.
They had an amazing time setting up their own paper making factory, where they used pulp to make their own sheet of hand-made recycled paper.
The children were very excited to add another eleven by eleven badge to their collection, and receive a kind gift from Recycle Devon of a recycled pencil. A lovely memento which left the children keen to ensure they re-used paper where possible and recycled more at home and at school.
